After getting it up the first section of stairs, we knew that moving it vertically was possible and so it was just a matter of time until we had it all the way up.

The toughest item I’ve ever tackled in Brampton was a stone bed. It was a queen sized slab of granite, all in one piece. Luckily we were working in a group of 4 so we were able to lift it, but at one point it had to go over a fence. Everyone holding it was terrified that we would break our legs if we dropped it and I think that helped give the push to maintain smooth control while we shifted it over the fence. I know I’d need a pretty soft mattress to sleep on a chunk of rock.

The material made it tough to get ahold of and pick up, and it couldn’t be rolled because it had delicate mountain ranges sticking out. Eventually we got it wrapped in massive pads and resting on padded runners. This let us start to maneuver it into then out of the truck. I’m still proud to have pulled this move off without even minor damages.
